Drop a Fruit Plot Progression: How Your Plot Grows and What to Work Toward Next
Your Drop a Fruit plot grows one loop at a time — roll, place, drop produce into the hole for coins, then upgrade. Here's the spending order and what to chase next.
Your plot grows on a single loop: roll fruit, place it, drop the produce into the hole, and spend the coins on plot upgrades that unlock better fruit. From the starting setup, the sensible path is to fill every slot you already have, put your early coins into the tool and roll speed, expand capacity only once the plot is full, and keep chasing the next fruit unlock — then turn to rebirth when upgrades stall.

The loop your plot runs on
Drop a Fruit's own How to Play flow spells out the progression: place your fruits, drop them into the hole, earn coins, upgrade your plot, and unlock better fruits to keep growing. Day to day, that plays out as a roll → place → drop → upgrade cycle:
- Roll for fruits and pets, then place them on your plot.
- Collect the produce with your tool — it carries up to 5 fruits at the start and throws them into the hole in one go.
- Earn coins from each drop, then spend them on upgrades so the next cycle runs faster and pays more.
The upgrade menu covers roll speed, vacuum tool capacity, drop speed, watering (which makes produce bigger) and auto-collect, with costs that vary by level. Our plot upgrades guide covers the full menu, and the Drop a Fruit codes page lists current codes if you want extra coins to fund a purchase.
First upgrades: fill, then speed up
Two rules shape the early spending order:
- Fill every slot before expanding. Empty slots earn nothing — capacity is only worth coins when every existing slot is occupied. Your rabbit slot starts at 10 capacity, and you can pay coins to increase it at the rabbit place.
- Upgrade the tool early. The vacuum tool is how produce gets collected, and upgrading it early is the biggest time-saver in the upgrade order; roll speed is the other buy that keeps the loop moving. If you're torn between purchases, the plot upgrades guide compares what each one changes.
Capacity and equip limits
Slot count isn't the only limit on your plot. In one early-game playthrough, equipping new fruit capped out at three — when that happens, the "equip base" option equips the fruit into your base instead, and upgrades raise the cap over time, such as a later food-slot upgrade that adds one more slot. Capacity increases cost coins, so treat them as a reward for a plot that's already full. The placement slots guide breaks this down further.
What to work toward next
Short term, the goal is always the next coin threshold. Coins are what grow the plot: each upgrade makes the next fruit fall worth more, locked fruit stays locked until you can pay for it, and a bigger coin pile lets you skip the early, slow drops and move to fruit that pays better. If the grind feels slow, the coins guide covers faster earning.
Mid term, buy your way into better fruit. Keep upgrading your plot to unlock better fruits and tools — better fruit earns more coins on every fall, which is the compounding step that makes the whole loop snowball. See how to unlock fruits for how the gates work.
Long term, rebirth — but not too early. Rebirthing resets everything, and without tool capacity and roll speed upgrades already banked, the re-climb is painfully slow, so the advice is to rebirth only when your upgrades stall. Climbing rebirths is also how the top tier arrives: fruit like Mega Apple sits at the end-game.
The whole path at a glance
- Fill your starting slots — nothing earns while a slot sits empty.
- Buy tool capacity and roll speed to tighten the loop.
- Expand capacity (the rabbit slot starts at 10) only when the plot is full.
- Spend surplus coins on the next fruit unlock rather than chasing top tiers early.
- Rebirth when upgrades stall, then rebuild faster.
