How to Play Drop a Fruit: Roll, Drop, Collect, Upgrade

The complete fruit-to-coins loop in Drop a Fruit: roll and place your first fruit, earn coins from the hole, and upgrade your plot to unlock better fruit.

The whole game runs on one repeatable loop: roll a fruit, place it on your plot, drop it into the hole, collect the coins, and spend them on plot upgrades — each upgrade makes your drops pay more and moves you closer to better fruit, then you roll again. Drop a Fruit by Together Studios states this directly on its official Roblox page: place your fruits, drop them into the hole, earn coins, upgrade your plot, and unlock better fruits to keep growing. Here is how each step works in practice.

1. Roll for a fruit

You get fruit from a roll. Your first roll happens during the tutorial, which walks you through spinning, receiving a fruit, and placing it on your plot. What you get is random — one new player's first session rolled a garlic pet first and an orange later — so treat those as examples, not a set starting lineup. Our how to roll fruits guide covers what rolls can award.

2. Drop the fruit into the hole

Once a fruit is placed, drop it into the hole — that's what earns you Coins. One tip worth following from the start: make sure each fruit lands properly in the hole so drops aren't wasted while you're building up your coin pile.

3. Collect the coins around your plot

Coins from your drops appear around the plot, and you pick them up to bank them. Early on you can grab them one by one, but your tool makes this much faster: it picks up fruit and coins and throws them straight into the hole instead of you fetching each item individually. The base tool carries up to 5 items at a time, and that carry limit can be raised with upgrades — a good early target if you're tired of running back and forth.

4. Spend coins on plot upgrades

Coins are the currency for upgrading your plot, and this is the step that grows your income. Each upgrade tier makes your subsequent fruit drops pay out more, and upgrades also unlock better fruits and tools. The catch: a locked fruit stays locked until you can pay for it. If a roll offers something you can't afford yet, keep running the loop with what you have and come back once the coins are there. See how to unlock fruits, or the beginner guide for a spending order.

5. Repeat and grow

The loop never really ends — it just gets more profitable. After spending coins on upgrades, you roll again, place or collect the new fruit, drop it into the hole, and collect more coins than before. Roll → place → drop → upgrade, over and over, with each cycle earning a bit more than the last. When you're ready to go beyond the basics, the Drop a Fruit beginner guide covers early progression and plot upgrades breaks down what to buy.
