Drop a Fruit: How to Unlock Better Fruits

Better fruits in Drop a Fruit unlock two ways: plot upgrades bought with Coins and paid rolls at the roll-fruits station. Here's the full route, plus where Luck Boosts, codes and rebirth fit in.

Better fruits in Drop a Fruit come from two routes: plot upgrades you buy with Coins, and paid rolls at the roll-fruits station. Coins are the gate for both — a locked fruit stays locked until you can pay for it — so unlocking better fruit is mostly about running the drop loop and reinvesting what it pays out.

The main unlock: plot upgrades

The game's own loop spells it out: place your fruits, drop them into the hole, earn Coins, upgrade your plot, unlock better fruits, keep growing. The upgrade purchase is the unlock itself — a locked fruit doesn't move until you can afford it.

Each upgrade also makes the next fruit fall worth more, so progress compounds: a bigger payout per fall builds a bigger coin pile, which pays for the next unlock sooner and lets you skip past the slow early drops. Reinvest at every threshold instead of hoarding — the plot upgrades page breaks down what to buy, and the coins guide covers the earning side.

Fund it with the drop-and-reinvest loop

The loop repeats inside a single session: pick your fruit up, place it, dump it into the hole, collect the Coins, and buy the next upgrade once you can afford it. One first-session run went exactly like that: saving toward a 2,500-coin upgrade, spending it on vacuum-tool capacity, and watering the crops so they grew bigger. Whatever your shop offers, the rhythm holds: drop, collect, reinvest.

Rolling fruits at the roll station

The roll-fruits station is the second way to get fruit. One first session started with two free roll options; the other rolls cost Coins — a Carrot roll was priced at 10 in that session — but deeper options gate much higher: one first-session run was still short of a 62,500 roll. A roll you can't afford won't start, so the same rule applies as everywhere else — more Coins, more fruit.

That same run also capped equips at three — past that the game blocked more equips, with an equip-base option left for later. See the rolling guide for the station itself.

Codes and Luck Boosts

Active codes hand out free Coins and Luck Boosts, which speeds up this route — they accelerate it rather than replace earning Coins by dropping fruit. The currently working codes live on the Codes page.

A Luck Boost raises your chance of getting rarer fruits and runs on a timer, so it's most useful while you're actively dropping fruit, not while you're away from the hole. Treat the boosted window as your cue to push for the next unlock: better fruit raises the Coins you earn on every fall after it. The luck boost guide has the details.

Where rebirth fits

Rebirth is the later layer of fruit unlocks. Rebirthing can grant auto-roll, and after rebirth you can toggle rarity filters on rolls — switching uncommon results off, for example — to target better outcomes.

Resist chasing top-tier fruit early, though. Fruits like the Mega Apple are end-game, and burning early rolls hoping for one wastes the Coins that should be building your earning loop — climb rebirths first and the top tier comes to you. Just don't overcorrect: rebirthing before your loop is built is listed as its own mistake, so get the loop running, then climb.
