Drop a Fruit Coins Guide: What Coins Buy and Where to Spend Them
Where coins are spent in Drop a Fruit — the plot upgrade menu, roll fruits menu, shop and rebirth — plus a spending order that keeps your income growing.
Coins are the in-game currency in Drop a Fruit: you earn them by dropping fruit into the hole, and you spend them in three menus — the plot upgrade menu, the roll fruits menu and the shop — plus rebirth once you can afford it. Upgrades make your future drops pay more; the shop items instead save you time.

| Where you spend | What coins buy |
|---|---|
| Plot upgrade menu | Tool, roll speed, drop speed, capacity and slots |
| Roll fruits menu | Locked fruits — specific fruits carry coin prices (starting fruits are free) |
| Shop | Magnet, shoes, time skip |
| Rebirth | Coins also pay for rebirth |
Plot upgrades are the main coin sink
Most of your coins belong on the plot itself. The upgrade menu covers your collection tool, roll speed, drop speed, and the plot's capacity and slots. Each upgrade tier makes every fruit drop after it pay out more, and upgraded plot levels unlock better fruits and tools — so upgrades compound.
Upgrades unlock in tiers, so expect points where you can't afford anything new yet. That's your cue to drop more fruit and come back. The Drop a Fruit plot upgrades page breaks down what each upgrade does.
Fruits cost coins too
The roll fruits menu is the second stop for your coins. Specific fruits carry coin prices there, and a locked fruit stays locked until you pay for it — a carrot, for example, showed a 10-coin price tag, while your starting fruits are free. Our how to roll fruits guide covers the rolling side in detail.
The shop and rebirth
In the shop, coins buy convenience items: a magnet, shoes, and a time skip (listed at 900 coins on one visit). These save you time rather than directly increasing what your drops earn. Coins also pay for rebirth — the plot progression guide covers when that's worth doing.
A spending order that pays
- Core upgrades first. Tool and roll/drop-speed upgrades raise what every future drop pays, so they grow your income before anything else does.
- Shop items after. Magnet and shoes save time; they don't make money, and buying them before the core upgrades slows your whole economy.
- Fill the plot before expanding it. Capacity upgrades only pay off once every existing slot is occupied — empty slots earn nothing. (The rabbit slot starts at 10, for scale.)
If you're short on coins before a purchase, check any active Drop a Fruit codes — code rewards have included free coins you can put straight into upgrades.
